DEFINITION:

It is a polycarboxylate based, high range water reducing hyper plasticizer concrete admixture developed for prefabricated applications where the time between concrete production and placement in the mold is short.

AREAS OF USE:

  • Non-segregating concrete applications,
  • Concrete applications with low water/cement ratio,
  • Precast concretes requiring high early strength development,

CONSUMPTION:      

  • In all types of concrete classes described in TS EN 206 and TS EN 13515 standards, in self-compacting concrete applications and in the production of prefabricated elements, it is recommended to use a ratio of 0.4% to 2.0% by weight of the total binder in the mix design for fluid consistencies. This ratio varies according to the cement, aggregate, mineral additive, water components used in the concrete mix design and also the desired fresh and hardened concrete properties. Therefore, laboratory tests should be carried out according to the desired properties for the usage rate and the mixing ratio should be determined.
  • Since PC-62 is a high-performance hyper plasticizer additive, its usage rates at the construction site and/or plant should be adjusted very well, and especially excessive addition of mixing water to the concrete mixture should be avoided.
